Welcome back, dear reader. Finally, we are prepared to present to you our Husqvarna 7021P Review. We recommend this mower to anyone with a small flat garden that wants a wide range of cutting height options and is looking for something that won’t take up too much room.
The Deck of Husqvarna 7021P
The 21-inch cutting deck offers great coverage, meaning the Husqvarna 7021P trims your lawn in fewer strips. The deck itself is made of a single piece of steel, offering sturdiness, durability and being a single piece means that there are no gaps or breaks in the deck for debris to get in and potentially interfere with the engine. Besides that, the deck is also coated in powder to resist rusting and ultimately extend the deck’s life. The deck on this mower is solid and dependable. It does what a deck should.
The Engine of Husqvarna 7021P
The engine is a doddle to start and gives the Husqvarna 7021P some substantial power with its 160 CC. We really like Honda engines in mowers. This is the third Honda engine driven mowers we’ve reviewed recently. They really do offer a good amount of power and last ages. We stress they really do offer consistent power. You shouldn’t be feeling any sudden weakening with this mower. It is petrol-powered, so you will have to top it up with fuel, make sure the oil levels are right, change the air filter annually. But, that’s to be expected. It’s not exactly quiet for its size, yet it’s far from deafening. The volume is perfectly acceptable.
Cutting Height of Husqvarna 7021P
Previously, I’ve described mowers as having a wide range of cutting heights with as many as 6 or 7 options. Well the Husqvarna 7021P, knocks it out of the park with a whopping 9 cutting height positions. I hesitate to say we deserve this amount of cutting height choice. Will we use this gift wisely? This is a mower that allows you to get artistic with your lawn. Note though that the options are limited to under 4 and a half inches.
Dimensions
What we especially like is that this mower is an ant with its dimensions at 35 x 24.2 x 17.8 inches. It’s the smallest mower we’ve reviewed in recent times. As well as slight, this mower is SUPER LIGHT at 62 pounds. We were surprised it wasn’t helium powered it’s so light. We were worried if we let go of it, it would fly away. So, we find its got a brilliant size and weight for its power and cutting efficiency.
The Wheels
The mower’s wheels are on double ball bearings which offer ultra-smooth movement over inconsistent and rough terrain. It also keeps the life of the wheels- they double up as shock absorbers, so don’t jolt your mower’s engine as much. The 11 inch rear wheels are very impressive for their size. That the wheels are that big when compared to the body and engine permit this mower to more easily be manoeuvred around corners and turns.
Grass Disposal
This is another mower complete with the 3 in 1 grass disposal clipping methods – as all good mowers, today should. Leaving the user to choose what suits their immediate preferences – mulching, discharging and bagging. With mulching being less effort on your part and permitting the nutrients in the clippings to feed your lawn as the mulch decomposes (with mulch being the ultra-shredded and evenly distributed grass trimmings onto the lawn). But you won’t want to mulch if you want to make use of your lawn immediately after (the mulch will get onto shoes and clothes). If you do want immediate use, we recommend bagging (you dispose of the clippings, which get collected in a bag whilst the mower moves). Or alternatively, the side discharging option. Design
Husqvarna 7021P also bears a soft grip handle for ergonomic and satisfying use with your hands. So, it’s perfectly user friendly. The mower comes practically assembled, it merely requires unfolding the handle and tightening 4 screws. Though, this does make us think, was it necessary that we tighten these screws? Couldn’t that have been done for us? It’s not our laziness here, but the manufacturers. Nevertheless, it’s not a terrible amount of effort.

Summary
This is a mower that exemplifies all the best qualities a rotary mower should! But we especially recommend this mower to anyone who really does want the various height choices. And, it’ll be especially recommended for those who want a light mower that doesn’t take up too much room but has the necessary power to deal with even wide blade grass on small lawns.
